For more than three years, Gerep has been an active partner within the international Asinta network. This commitment has brought a new dimension to the benefits we offer our clients and, in return, enables us to benefit from the power of a very large network. As their six monthly meeting was recently held in London, we thought it would be interesting to introduce this network to you and to let you know about the content of this event.
The ASINTA network in a nutshell
Asinta is a network which, on a worldwide basis, brings together companies specialising in actuarial advice, insurance brokering for people and employee benefits services. It enables Gerep to operate on a global collaborative basis to establish your contracts abroad and act as the link with France.
A world event on Social Welfare
Last week, during the six monthly meeting of Asinta which took place in London at the premises of our British partner, Punter Southall , various parties came together to present their work and expertise on the topic of social welfare. These two days of analysis and exchange were greatly appreciated by companies in the audience, for whom this topic is relevant. As such, several matters were covered in order to address the many challenges which confront global social welfare.
- What are these worldwide risks?
In 2005, the World Economic Forum in Davos started the Global Risks Report which seeks to determine the risks throughout the world, whether they be of a political, economical, fiscal, ecological or climatic nature. Above all else, it is a tool which enables businessmen and women, civil society and governments to have a better understanding of these risks and their possible interrelationship.

Heading towards Global Wellness ?
Mr. Wolf Kirsten, an authority and co-founder of « The International Institute for Health promotion » and a member of the « Association of Worksite Health Promotion », shared his experience and knowledge about the launching and evaluation of health and welfare programmes throughout the world.
At the same time, he presented different models of the welfare in the workplace programme as well as the concerns for both companies and employees in this area. These programmes have met with growing success on a worldwide basis, especially in North America and Asia.
- • Overview of Social Security and supplementary healthcare on a global basis
Several representatives of the Asinta network provided responses to various questions on the different social welfare schemes and supplementary healthcare cost schemes, either mandatory or optional.
This round table enabled the differences between social schemes in different countries to be highlighted, but also served to inform those present of common practices. All were in agreement that companies and employees should benefit from this contribution
